and the plot thickens

apparently several thousand people demonstrated in copenhagen today.
968 were arrested and taken to the temporary holding facility in the old brewery.
and our local national news can't explain a single thing about it.

50% of the demonstrators were arrested ... that's statistically a Big Deal. Says something about police (state) efficiency.

I can almost hear Sarah Palin et al applauding.

but isnt it sad that free speech has very limited meaning these days?

According to all the news I can find, less than 1000 people were arrested - 1000 of anywhere from 25,000 to 100,000 reported demonstrators, which is way less than 50%, so maybe not as big a deal as one would think.

The funny part is that apparently those arrested were all pro "climate change" (otherwise known as weather) legislation. Just a couple of days ago, everyone was so sure it would be those awful tea party people who would cause problems.

How quickly the truth reveals itself.

Love the posters; hate the over-vigilance and that the actions of a few troublemakers created such havoc for peaceful protestors. I blame George Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld and their "War on Terror," deliberately setting out to make the West paranoid and suspicious of the slightest opposition.
