digesting

i'm uncharacteristically silent. still savoring and digesting blog camp 3.0. the last of the blog campers departed this morning. it feels quiet and a bit lonely around here now. the energy level has settled down to a dull roar again, from the extreme heights it achieved on saturday evening.  i have a million thoughts and feelings about it all, but i'm definitely still mulling them over.

why is it that our words about the way in which we think our thoughts are food-related? savoring, digesting, mulling, chewing...as if thoughts are ingested and turned into nourishment for our souls.

my soul definitely feels nourished by blog camp 3.0. more about how when i'm done digesting it all....

Wow, that looks so good! Your blog camp adventures sound so fun. I can't wait to hear more about it all!

We use food words for everything: love, for example, is chock full of words that also relate to food.

Maybe it's because we're creatures for whom food=life? I don't know. But I've always wondered, too.

can't wait to hear all about it... so you go ahead and digest... then serve it up hot to us and we'll savor every word of it... how's that for food related? :))

i think that words do nourish us as much as food. can't wait to hear more when you're ready.

oh this ice cream looks looovely... I'm still digesting too, having serious blogcamp withdrawal symptoms, the fact that weather in London is totally miserable doesn't help...

Thanks. Now dying for Blog Camp stories AND a gooey Sunday.

Will you be taking any part of the blue room with you when you move? I mean literally, any bits of the wall, a window sill, etc. as homage to the experiences you've had there? I think the hoarder in me asked that question.

Also, what are the new owners going to use the blue room for??

Hmmm. While you were away, it has boiled down to the Colts, Jets, Vikings and Saints. Got any good dip for the chips?
