friday confession - because it's been awhile....

my dear friend polly used to do friday confessions and i've done my share as well.  at the moment, i'm reading jonathan franzen's the discomfort zone and it's giving me a strange desire to make all sorts of awkward confessions... or is it confessions of awkwardness? here are just a few:

~ when my sister and i played battleship as a child, i totally cheated. all. the. time.

~ i'm not that fond of chocolate. if it disappeared from the earth tomorrow, it would make no difference to me (please don't hate me).

~ i had a beautiful black and white gelding when i was 13. one day, i went to get him in the pasture and he bit the hell out of me, on my back, of all places. actually picked me up by my shoulder blade and shook me. and i never told anyone at the time, because i knew he would be sold immediately. no one noticed that i couldn't really lift my left arm for a good week.

~ i am a total sucker for a crime novel, even a crappy crime novel. i just reread stieg larsson's millenium trilogy and i have to say the man is the swedish dan brown, but still, i read like a maniac.

and i'm afraid that's all for today...i spent the little time husband allowed me before the computer today (he's a packing slave driver, i tell you) writing a foodie/wine post over on domestic sensualists, so please do check it out!

happy easter one and all!

My confession today is that I fell off the wagon on my supply buying moratorium. I haven't confessed it on my blog yet.

I used to read, even buy Cosmopolitan magazine with relish considering it junk food for the mind.

Wasn't that fond of chocolate until pregnancy 27 years ago and I'm afraid it stuck now.

My confession for today is: I had a white chocolate/coconut candy bar a few days ago and because I cheated on my fasting program--my surgey has been moved to 19 April.
I am fine with that--hard lesson to learn!

Hope you and your love ones will also have a great Easter.

Best
Tracy :)

PS I hate white chocolate!!!!!!!!!!

I am so impressed. I would not have told on the horse either. And I love to read murder mysteries.

I love this shot. What a great concept! Those of us who are myopic get it.

Your strength of character really comes through in these confessions (Battleship notwithstanding ;-)). I think your keeping the horse safe despite your pain is just a beautiful story (and it takes guts to state publicly that you don't like chocolate ;-)).

Have a great Easter!

I love this photo...incredible! And I love Jonathan Franzen, The Corrections is one of my favorite books ever. I'll be more than happy to hold up your end on the chocolate thing. And somehow I am not surprised that you never told about the horse...that seems so you.

(I think I just posted a comment but it's not there, sorry if this turns out to be a repeat) great photo and I should try that with my glasses, they are strong enough! And you are the only person I know who doesn't love chocolate. Everyone loves chocolate!

The art journal is packed and off to Paradise Island on Monday. It'll be crayons and words due to luggage restrictions but I'm sure some unique white sand will end up between the pages...

Happy Easter! I love that picture! Your confession reminds me of the time when I got bit by my hamster and didn't tell my mom!

I could live without chocolate. But not without strawberries.

And I wouldn't have told on the horse either!

Crime novels... yay! No chocolate? I never liked it either until I got older... now I'm wild for dark chocolate. (Which is why I wished that for you on your newer post, which I read before this one!)

I'm stunned by the chocolate confession! If chocolate dropped off the face of the earth-- I'd weight A LOT less than I do now.

Happy weekend,
xo

Oh yeah. Ditto the chocolate, although I admit to days when I really do want some expensive dark chocolate with sour raspberry filling or lemon sticks. :) My book confession? I have an entire box of Trixie Belden novels in my closet - when life gets to be too much, I take them out & read. The innocence makes me feel better.

Happy Happy Easter!

Chocolate is not my favorite thing, in fact I very rarely eat it. Love the confessions and the photo! Have a "Happy Easter!"

We had to let my little sister win all games, or she had tantrums which involved turning the board upside down...

What a great post.

I wouldn't have told on the horse either and I'm totally with ya on the Larsson novels. The chocolate is another matter though...

Hope your Easter was wonderful :)
