things i love about berlin: part 1

red bicycles - white vespa
white vespa - take 2
ok, it may not be a vespa, but it's a cool retro scooter in any case.
and i want one.
the lamps
pretty street signs
big hamburger street
more to come. but suffice it to say, i. am. in. love. with. berlin. it's like the apple or the nikon of cities. i really don't know why anyone lives anywhere else.

Yes, vintage scooters are absolutely awesome. I wish I had one, too, but I can't afford it!

By the way, I do read your blog regularly and I'm impressed by your writing, both quality and quantity. Maybe I can try to make you a role model in that respect :)

JULIE, Jim has a vintage vespa. I will post a picture as soon as I get back home. Visiting grandchildren today. I think it is either a 1962 or 1963. It is red and it is awesome.

I love Big Hamburger Street! I want to live right there.

I am seriously considering getting a Vespa instead of a car... I want the purple one we saw!

that red bike is gorgeous! i love the polka dots on the seat... can i impose something like that on my grey bike or is it going to break in shame...

i love the streetsigns, especially the sredzkistrasse because it sounds polish! i hereby propose we hold the next blog camp in cracow, plenty of pretty streetsigns/lamps there!

i wish i could have joined you! the combination of berlin (which i haven't seen yet) and such great company would have been a great birthday present :)

loving the street signs and lamps. I can totally picture me walking down cobble stoned streets lined with lamps like those.

I'm so glad to see these pictures . . . because I am always too busy talking to properly take in the images AND I think my memory card has been damaged! No Berlin pictures whatsoever . . . oh no.
