sunshine helps

these days of endless sunshine make the world seem a friendlier, better place.
it makes it easier to handle all of life's small frustrations.
because they do come anyway, even when the sun shines.
but they matter so much less.
especially in the golden light of evening.

what you can't see is a bit of a nip in the air.
they predict frost tonight.
so all of the little plants are tucked in.
as are the strawberries, which are loaded with blooms.
it's going to be a great year for strawberries.

it's shaping up to be a great year for a lot of things.
but not always in the way you expect.
but i'm trying to let go of expecting.
and complaining.
and fault-finding.
and negativity.
and of fear. mostly of fear.

i'm not there yet,
but i find the sunshine helps.

Well, those are some deep thoughts. I love the perspective on the tree house. Expecting, fault-finding, negativity -- those are familiar companions, I'm afraid. I work daily on letting those things go --

I hear you, sister.

We've had sunny days galore, and although it's a bit overcast and drizzly today, I'm loving that too.

oooh, and I havn't told you that I love the name Solskin for a bunny :-)

Isn't it funny how the world is just that crucial little bit better with some glorious sunshine? Beautiful pictures!!
Our strawberries are looking great too, they've had lots of flowers and now we're waiting for the first berries :)
Hope your great weather continues.
