hibernating

the darkness is relentless these days. i seem to have gone into a kind of hibernation. hunkering down. waiting for a winter that doesn't seem to come. i even saw buds on some dandelions today. kind of a hopeful sign, but also kind of not. dandelions on the last day of november? isn't that just wrong?

i'll be back soon. i've got blog swag to share.

Our weather is off too. There are buds on our magnolia trees which shouldn't happen until next spring. By now we should of had at least one hard frost and there should be snow flurries. But instead we linger in this strange warm & wet weather purgatory. Waiting.

There you are! I was wondering where you had got to. Hibernating is good. Warm Novembers are not good. In fact they are just wrong. Good to see you back :-)

I hear you! It has been a crazy November with fall temps and winter light, crazy! Hunkering down is not bad, it helps us to find our balance and move forward. xo

The weather in Los Angeles is crazy too. Cool and crazy strong winds. We have fire warnings all over the place.

LOVE the horse picture.

Uggh I've never looked forward to winter however this year it seems to not want to come at all. (I'm in NY) Yesterday I walked out of my house with a sweater on, it's NOVEMBER 30TH!! This weekend we're going to be in the 60's. My friend asked to go ice skating but all I keep thinking is 'will the ice even been hard enough?"
