we choose for ourselves

a real eye-opener

i'm writing this post as my splitting headache fades and scheduling it for tuesday morning, because tuesday's gonna be a crazy busy day for me. i'm feeling a little discouraged and slightly depressed about some total crap that's going on as i write this, but i just read marinik's post from saturday, about how we choose for ourselves what kind of day we're going to have. and so right here, right now, even tho' i have a headache and just lost approximately half of my brain cells watching an episode of america's next top model and probably sent VEG over the edge by jokingly suggesting canada apply for statehood (again, i blame the aforementioned missing brain cells), i'm going to choose to have a great tuesday.  and why shouldn't i? although That Girl forgot to pack my flat iron, i have molly's magic beads and my favorite black banana republic suit  and sexy wolford tights (there i go with the brands again) to wear tomorrow. and the lack of flat iron means that i can try out this hairstyle, which i've been wanting to do ever since trinsch first posted it.  doesn't it look pretty and calm and carefree? see, looking on the bright side. now keep your fingers crossed that the misogynist dinosaurs aren't about, as i forgot to bring my magic wand....(just to mix the metaphors up a bit).

wanting to end this on a hopeful note.

To a great Tuesday! Start smiling to strangers, like Seaside girl did yesterday! That will surely provide some awkward and fun moments!

That hairstyle does look lovely and I know it'll make your day much better. I hope you have a good Tuesday. I'm having a presentation in a couple of hours, I haven't slept, I'm freaking out and I've got a headache. So I this Tuesday may be a challenge to both of us, but I'm also choosing it to be a good one.

There is no reality, only perception.

No rain, no rainbows...

Love the hair. Debating right now whether to get mine cut (the hot, humid weather is upon us) or to let it grow long enough to put up/braid again. Decisions, decisions.

Sharing your headache, which started my day. Going to drink a gallon of water and walk it away...

Now here is a post I needed! I am on my on the fence between a good and a bad day. It really could go either way. So, I here and now pledge that this will be a good day.

Don't argue - it will be!

thanks (hope it works out for both of us)

I think you really pissed off VEG. How am I to think about this now? Did you also piss me off by proxy - on account of the whole me and her sharing a brain? What?

Okay, now I'm giving myself (ourselves?) a headache.

And just to make sure, since I realize you can't actually hear me in Oslo, no matter how hard I yell: I am kidding.

You'll always be our FERRYblogmother. (No, I'm not drinking already.)

American's Next Top Model #124 of my list of guilty pleasures. Not sure why, as I always feel dumber for having watched it.

No, no, I was already off the deep end prior to this post. And definitely did not piss me off. So, EXT, you do not have to be proxy pissed. Now if I did not have access to my flat iron, that WOULD send me over the edge.

Come on, admit it, you LOVE ANTM

Hope your Tuesday is going great.... don't think you're gonna have good day.... just "DO IT" :)

when i told you yesterday that i had no doubt that today would be better, i was thinking to & wanted to tack on to the end "because you will decide it will be." but sometimes i feel that we/i overdo voicing that kind of optimistic logic. i mean, we all know that we can make it so, and the "it" is anything we want it to be. i'm just at the point where i'm getting kind of tired of saying it, like it's almost cliche. almost too pollyanna? i hope this doesn't come across the wrong way. i don't mean to detract at all from the positive thinking. i am SO glad that you've decided to make it a good day. and i hope that everyone else's headaches disappear and the day turns out to be glorious for all! hugs.

I'm thinking that girl needs to save her allowance so she can just buy duplicates to keep in a case so they are always available perhaps.

MMmm Wolford, my favourites. Their stay ups are The Best.

That hairstyle makes me want to weep. i want lovely flaxen hair, straight with a wave...not a frizz ball mop of brown curls.

How's the headache? And how's your tongue from all that licking?

More shoe shots please!

trying to figure out if it's wednesday there yet. It's 3pm CST. I need to get out my world globe for VEG so I don't make an ass of myself, but I'm guessing it's only 9 or 10 tuesday night there. So, I hope your HA is gone, your tuesday was good, and your wednesday is going to be fantastic.

BTW- what time is it?
