feeling a bit noir

since it took me an inordinately long time to process photos, upload and create this mosaic, i have nothing left for proper words to go with it. it's a busy, hectic week. talking to lots of old friends and making new ones. after six hours on the above shoes on tuesday night (and i do mean ON, not in--look how high those heels are), my feet spent all of wednesday not speaking to me. 'til i bought them new chucks and a new pair of el naturalistas, after which we have made a tentative rapprochement. if you've been on twitter, you've seen both. i'll provide proper shots of them when i'm back home on the weekend. i'm tired of the carpet in my hotel room (see above).

really loved everyone's lists of simple things yesterday. huge thank you to christina for the initiative--i made a whole lot of new friends and i felt totally recharged here in the middle of my hectic week just by reading everyone's lists of what they love. thank you all!!!

I think the carpet is an awesome backdrop for the shoes. However, totally get you on the hotel-carpet hate. Makes you wonder what all has seeped into it, that the cleaning ladies haven't been able to lift off.

Or maybe that's just me. Yup. Pretty sure it is.

All of your shoes look awesome.

Morning....yes that carpet is sucking the soul out of me. The shoes are a National Treasure and should be in a museum (mostly so they can't torment your poor toes anymore).

I really enjoyed doing my simple 10 list. I less enjoyed how it looks on my ugly blog now. Having buyer's remorse over my own domain already!

Yes please, please blog a pic for those of us who shun twitter? Of the sneakers I mean.

We can almost see your whole face in those! :)
The evil shoes do look nice, though!

the shoes are amazing, love the colour, but those heels! my feet would laugh in my face if I tried to stick them in those!

great photos, you must teach me how to do a mosaic like this, I really want one for my banner

Whoa Mama. Do you need a parachute when you get out of those babies? They are gorgeous! I adore shoes with little bows on the front.

I'd like to echo Polly's words. Please Miss, can you teach us all how to make a fancy banner?

Very cute shoes! I wish I had the guts (and the foot stamina) to wear them!

Love your shoes but can totally understand why your feet weren't talking to you after that. Yet somehow it was worth it.

I'm impressed that you spent one hour in those shoes, never mind six! (They are very fetching, though.) I love my purple Naturalistas . . . which I've been wearing 6 out of 7 days ever since I got them!

btw: hope it worked for you, my calm hair :) trying to get mine to stay lie that often has the opposite effect on me and i'll end up with a plain pony tail. but that day it worked. glad you liked it :)
