the best things about this weekend

the one being confirmed looked a bit like a mermaid
even her dress was mermaid-y
which is entirely appropriate in the land of the little mermaid
beautiful table settings
a view like this from the party location
proud father giving a funny, yet touching speech
these two sisters of the konfirmand
children playing well together across all ages
this cake
getting lots of good prezzies
kick-ass eyelashes
doodling on the piano in the waning hour of the party
hearing hilarious tales of life at sea
and did i mention the view?
fresh homemade strawberry lemonade in the sun
enjoyed together with grilled apple & thyme sausages
getting these flower beds totally tidied up
hope your weekend was glorious too!

what a fantastic weekend. We have had a great Saturday and Sunday so far has been full of pancakes and coffee. What a shame to spoil the fun by having to go into work. boo

Am I the only one who doesn't know what a confirmation is?

Still, looks like you had a great time and the photos you put together are just wonderful.

I was looking around etsy (window shopping of sorts) and found this (http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=19350604&ref=sr_list_19&&ga_search_query=table+weight&ga_search_type=handmade&ga_page=&includes[]=tags&includes[]=title) and thought of you. Eyeballs & Rocks.

You really captured the essence of the day with your photos! I could almost hear the hum of multiple conversations, smell the cake and feel a breeze coming off the water. Well done!

I don't get the flower beds, however. It's not quite a garden and not quite a patio. Is this a common layout in Denmark?

I'm really enjoying your blog!
