ahhh, those summer nigh-hights....

i can't get enough of the scandinavian summer light. you've just got to soak it in while you can. it's going to be a glorious weekend. weatherwise and visitor-wise, since a very special friend is coming by for a playdate. and i can't wait! (maybe i can get her to teach me to crochet a granny square.) all of the photos above were taken after 9 p.m. isn't that amazing?

Similarly, I love the Alaskan nights. It can rain all day and then be sunny at night. You do just really soak it in and recharge your batteries. So energizing and that low level alpine glow that just goes on for hours! Can't be beat!

Those long summer days certainly do balance out the dark winter days, don't they?

The photos are pure eye candy. Mmmm, thank you. Yummy.

Happy weekend!

I'm so jealous! We are *just* getting off the last of our snowstorms and there is no real "summer" to be found. Sigh. I'm trying to be patient.

(Also--those photos are GORGEOUS, like always.)
