coloring eggs

i'd love to say we used natural dyes, but i'm afraid it was traditional paas and crayons all the way. this was our third batch this year. and we'll probably do at least one more. luckily we like egg salad.

the natural colors are great, but kind of a pain to make and what a mess...

Lovely colors. Coloring eggs will be a project for this week. The kids are home on spring break. And I also look forward to the egg salad!
Happy Monday.

Ooooh - lovely. Makes me want a scoop of egg salad on a bed of red-leaf lettuce.

They are too pretty to eat, but I do love deviled eggs!

These are really cool eggs! I won't be dying any this year - the older kids are too old and the toddler loses interest really fast. But definately next year!

*Did an "If I Were . . ." post yesterday. Thanks for the inspiration!

I had never ever heard of dying eggs at Easter until I joined blogosphere and now everyone is talking about it!

Beautiful.

I spent a great deal of yesterday colouring in eggs with the children I look after, it was hilarious!

Here's a fun game. Write filthy words and cartoons on the eggs in wax crayon to surprise mom when she dyes them. See what you miss by raising a girl?
