hello from sunday evening

quite possibly the cutest cauliflower in the world.
there's a cabbage in there somewhere.
eggplant-to-be
and more eggplants. we like them.
these will be sweet red peppers.
sunset, golden, but with the slightest tinge of autumn.
the air still and clear after an early evening shower.
a calm has settled over the house.
our visitors are all gone.
there's laundry in the washer and dishes in the dishwasher.
everyone's showered and scrubbed and relaxed.
we feel sated after a weekend filled with good conversation, good food and good weather.
it's hard to imagine feeling more relaxed.
so bring on august.
we're ready.

Hello Julie

What a wonderful garden you all have had. It is hard to believe August is already here. I have been talking about Fall today--not far off at all.

Have a great week!

Best
Tracy :)

What a lovely post. You captured that moment when things are finally quiet and in order again, but you enjoyed your company. Great pictures of the babies in your garden!

Sounds wonderful and peaceful. Looks like you're set for a good harvest! The baby pepper is cute :) I regret not having done cauliflower or broccoli this year.

I love the baby plants. Watching things grow is such a miraculous and inspiring thing. I hope you post more as they grow up, or show us before & after pics ;) _B
