a very birdy weekend

this is the best batch of birds yet. and there was a big difference between the snow white sunshine world outside and the light inside. we're off to sweden, catch ya tomorrow evening.

I must have these birds! I have the patteren to make them, but I feel my would not turn out that great.

Any advice--would be appreciated.

They are so so so pretty! You could make them with embroidered eyes as well so they'd be appropriate for small children!

SWEDEN?!?! Now we're talking! Come see me, we'll have coffee and chocolate cake! We'll blow soap bubbles and hang colourful birds in trees! :D

Your prolific creativity never ceases to amaze me. Julie, those birds scream "you" in every way: color, fabric pattern and overall style. Okay, I have to know how you made the small tags with your name that are sewn into the side seams? (Or did I miss that post?).

That last picture of the birds makes me extremely happy. It has a crazy kaleidoscope feeling to it. My favorite January picture, I think.
