i participated in a christmas market on sunday. it wasn't nearly as much fun as last summer's farmer's market (which oddly enough, i utterly failed to write about), even tho' we nearly were blown away that day. people weren't really in a buying mood (i've noticed this before in denmark, especially where handmade things are concerned), so i have a few items left over (there are more in addition to those pictured above, they are just a little sampler). i've just listed them in my long-neglected shop (i even rather ambitiously redesigned the whole thing). so, please do stop by and have a look. handmade is the very best way to say "i care about you" to those you love at christmas. i know it's how i'm going to show my love to those around me. thank you for looking!

Such cute cozies! With unique fabrics they take on a new personality! Interestingly, I think trends are changing. Not just persons not willing to part with their money for many reasons but a tiresome collection of handmade goods rather numbs the shopper. Locally, we have discovered that the venue is success or failure. The church, school or organizations who host 'fairs' tend to show the old stuff. Finding a juried venue provides an entirely different experience for the shopper. Several of the artists in my group have started using specialty shops and sacrificing a percentage of profit in the deal. However, most have already sold out for the season. Just a thought for reference. I am sure your items will be just the right thing for someone who appreciates the craft.
