from where i sit...

this is the view before me.  i'm still getting acquainted with the iMac.  i miss right click.  i didn't realize how much i actually used right click until now when i don't have it.  but, i am confident that i will adjust and learn.  and in the meantime, the joy i get from sheer aesthetics of the machine is enough.

the weather is changeable and unpredictable.  it's restless.  sunshine one moment, rain showers the next, rainbows in between.  sometimes i think the weather accurately reflects my own moods, or is it that my mood reflects the weather?  i feel a bit restless as well and my to-do list is a mile long, which doesn't help.  i always end up feeling restless and have a strong tendency towards procrastination when i have a lot to do.  i have emails i need to write, a small piece for LNG World Shipping, invoices, invitations to make for our big end-of-summer party, straightening up, laundry, ironing, dishes...the list goes on and on.

so, what am i doing?  sitting here, synching my iPod with the new iTunes and generally not doing any of those things i should be doing.  but, perhaps that's what sunday afternoons are for. the work can wait 'til monday.

Funny how your List can have both items about work and the future and also washing dishes and doing laundry. That's life, after all. Take it easy today and rest and enjoy your weekend.

i think that's exactly why i was procrastinating...no way to get my head around doing it all...how do you get in one mood that suits all those things? :-)

julie right click on your iMac is option click :) it is so funny to read your description of your iMac "so beautiful i can hardly breath". yes that is exactly how it is!!!! i love my iMac as much as my zippy dog...well almost as much ;) i also use a wacom tablet instead of a regular mouse and find that makes it even more amazing to work with! the 'right click' is there so click away!

birdtweets--i just bought a bamboo pad today. i have yet to hook it up, but maybe that will help. :-) and thanks for the "right click" shortcut. after my initial frustration, i'm learning to do things differently. it really is easier and more intuitive. it's a matter of dropping old habits and learning new ones.

but i just visited the flagship humac store today and they were SO SNOTTY! what's up with that? it was like being in the Gap in the early 90s.
